You Can't Spell Lallie Without LA Week 4

Thursday night I spent my time babysitting my 3-year-old niece, Rosie. We watched a lot of SpongeBob and played with her stuffed animals. Rosie is at a fun yet sassy age. Three year olds can be so sweet and then the next thing you know they are screaming in the middle of the floor fake crying because you said no…. I love being an Aunt but I do not plan on having kids for a while haha…  I did manage to get her to sleep without her putting up too much of a fight! I felt so accomplished after this. Spending time with Rosie is very fun and I have been lucky this summer to have my sister live so close.

Friday night we went to the Hollywood Bowl to see Star Trek. For someone coming in with no prior knowledge of Star Trek, I actually really got into it.  I wouldn’t call myself a “Trekky” but I definitely liked it more than I expected. Also, it was very cool to hear a live orchestra perform with a movie. I had never experienced that before but it is something I would totally like to do again. The venue itself was awesome and I hope to go back to see a concert before the summer is over.

Saturday a few friends and I decided to hike to the Hollywood Sign. We did the trail that led to the front of the letters. It was little over 5 miles but really was not that hard. I think it was totally worth it and there were some great views of the city. One day maybe I will hike behind the sign. I feel like I should do all the hiking I can while I’m still out here in the beautiful weather. Don’t get me wrong it was hot but it makes such a difference not having the Georgia humidity. That night we went back to Bootie LA. I LOVE Bootie LA and I wish we had something like it in Athens. Maybe when we get back to Athens we can start Bootie Ath???  It could be a hit! I am sure that we will be back to Bootie before the summer is over. Between the hike and Bootie my body is very sore and I spent the day napping.
